Data processed by the app
UV Info does not require an account and does not contain advertising or tracking technologies. The developer does not sell or share personal data for advertising purposes.
App settings are stored locally on your device. The developer does not receive these settings.
If you allow UV Info to use your location, the app obtains coordinates through the location services provided by Android or iOS. Location access can be denied or withdrawn at any time in the device settings.
UV data on iOS: Apple WeatherKit
On iOS, UV Info uses Apple WeatherKit to retrieve weather and UV information for the requested location. The corresponding coordinates are processed by Apple as part of the WeatherKit request. The developer does not operate WeatherKit and does not receive the request data.
Further information is available on the Apple WeatherKit website and in the Apple Privacy Policy.
UV data on Android: Open-Meteo
On Android, UV Info sends the coordinates of the requested location to the Open-Meteo API to retrieve UV information. Like any internet request, the request also transmits technical connection data such as the IP address. The developer does not operate the Open-Meteo service and does not receive this request data.
Open-Meteo states that API server logs may contain IP addresses and geographical coordinates and that these logs are deleted after 90 days. Further information is available in the Open-Meteo Terms and Privacy Policy.
Android, Google Play, iOS, and the App Store
Depending on the device and how the app was obtained, Google or Apple may independently process technical, store, purchase, installation, update, and diagnostic data under their own terms. This processing is controlled by the respective platform provider and is not performed by the developer through UV Info.
For details, please see the Google Privacy Policy and the Apple Privacy Policy.
Your rights and contact
Subject to the applicable data protection law, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
For questions about privacy in UV Info or to exercise your rights with regard to processing for which the developer is responsible, please contact uv-app@tobias-ehret.de. Requests concerning data processed independently by Google, Apple, or Open-Meteo should be directed to the respective provider.
